The urgency
Wars and Crises: The poor have become poorer and the Gospel with aid is needed more than ever! BUT more leaders are available to be trained and sent. Only with your help can this new mobilization take place. The mission Jesus gave is unfinished. Forgotten people, where His name is not spoken, where lives are broken are waiting for hope.
No believer had ever come to this house before. The reason? This elderly mom's son was mentally ill and therefor shunned by the village. Her house was in shambles and the grass roof was falling off. Solomon and his church planters decided they must first care for the immediate needs. "So, we sent one of us to buy foodstuffs and gave it to the lady and her son. We later engaged someone to do the thatching of the roof."
“Our gesture attracted a group of about 30 neighbors. We then shared the word with them. They encouraged us to establish a Bible study group. They told us that no group of Christians had ever visited this family or shared anything with them. They said that what we did is a demonstration of the love of Christ.”
These are the lost and the poor living apart from any knowledge of the grace and love of Jesus Christ. These are the forgotten people that our Gospel Movement teams are targeting this year… with your help.
The solution?
High impact African teams, trained by Appleseed Ministry, are learning to GO and catalyze new movements. Common people become church planters. Farmers and prostitutes. Just like the book of Acts. With your partnership, they can make inroads into the more remote and desperate areas. The time is NOW.
You can't GO but you can SEND!
Everything is in place to take the Gospel to the Poor:
1. Emerging leaders are receiving training preparing them as effective messengers of the Gospel
2. The needs of the lost and poor are immense and even more so during these difficult times.
All that is needed is the resources to mobilize, provide Bibles, and support basic transport for reaching to the least and lost. YOUR help is needed now!
