As we pray about furthering our efforts in Uganda, we are mindful that the tension runs high there from extremist M_slims. One pastor there, last year, reported having his face burned with acid because of his conversion from Islam to Christianity and his success in reaching M_slims.
"The persecution because of the name of the Lord is real and it is happening to different people around the world... The enemy is very determined," he commented.
At the same time, we must keep in mind that most people who follow the Islam faith are not extremists and are trapped in a mindset of hopelessnes. As one said, "I lived in despair and hopelessness because my soul was seeking something Islam did not provide."
