Ian was born in 2012 and is now in class 3 of primary school. His family is very poor and unable to provide even the most basic needs for their children. Clothing, housing, food, and an education are very difficult for them to sustain. Ian says he admires his teachers and would like to be a teacher himself when he finishes his schooling.
Eugine was born in 2010 and is in class four. His father died after a very long illness and as happens within some tribes in Africa, the deceased husband’s family chased the wife away after his passing. She now no longer is allowed to live on the family compound and has been forced to find housing and provide for the children alone. Eugine is quite jovial and aspires to become a teacher one day.
